UNITAS LXII Opening Ceremony Takes Place in Lima

LIMA, Peru — Naval and Marine forces from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain, South Korea, United Kingdom, Uruguay, and the United States gathered for the opening ceremony for UNITAS LXII, the longest running multinational maritime exercise, in Lima, Peru, Sept. 27.

UNITAS LXII Kicks off in Lima

LIMA, Peru — Naval and Marine forces from Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Spain, United Kingdom, Uruguay, and the United States kicked off UNITAS LXII, an annual multinational exercise, Sept. 24, in Lima, Peru.

Burlington Builds Bonds in Trinidad and Tobago

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago — The Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Burlington (T-EPF-10) and the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard conducted a maritime interdiction exercise, Sept. 15, following a three-day port visit to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

USS Arlington Arrives in Haiti to Support USAID

CARIBBEAN SEA — The San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) arrived in U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations off the coast Haiti to begin humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, Aug. 21.

MAYPORT, Fla. — The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Sioux City (LCS 11) returned to Mayport, Fla., July 30th, following its successful deployment to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations.

The Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Sioux City (LCS 11) participates in a bilateral maritime interdiction exercise with the Dominican Republic Navy coastal patrol vessel Canopus (GC 107).
