ITCS (IW/SW/AW) KELLY S. KIRBY

ITCS Kirby was born in and raised in Altus, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the Navy in Sep 1995. He completed basic training at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois followed by Seaman Apprentice Training.

Senior Chief Kirby’s previous sea duty assignments include the following: USS Doyle (FFG-39) where he served as a Deck Seaman until he struck Radioman.; USS Patriot (MCM-7) as the OC Division LPO and KMI Manager; NCTS Far East Det Diego Garcia as an Assistant Contract Representative and again as the KMI Manager.; COMLCSRON TWO Sea Duty Component where he served as the Train to Qualify LCPO, N7 Communications training liaison, and the Maintenance Execution Team LCPO.; and USS Detroit (LCS-7) as the Combat Systems Departmental LCPO as well as the CSE1 Divisional LCPO.
 
Senior Chief Kirby’s previous shore duty assignments include the following: HSL-46 Mayport, Fl, as the Network Systems Administrator.; National Airborne Operations Center, USSTRATCOM as a Team Communications Chief, and Naval Communications and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific where he qualified as a JFTOC Watch Officer, Pacific Message Center LCPO, and earned his Information Warfare Specialist warfare device.
 
Senior Chief Kirby’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (4), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (6) and various other unit and campaign awards.
 
Senior Chief Kirby is married to Amanda Kirby of Jacksonville, Fl and they have three children: Ciarra, Samantha, and Connor.
