Capt. Ryan Kendall

A native of Santa Cruz, California, Capt. Ryan R. Kendall is a 2001 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in History.

CAPT Kendall’s previous at sea assignments include Damage Control Assistant and Force Protection Officer in USS PRINCETON (CG 59), Engineering Officer in USS PREBLE (DDG 88), and Engineering Assessor at ENGINEERING ASSESSMENTS PACIFIC. CAPT Kendall was the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer in USS ROOSEVELT, (DDG 80) serving out of FDNF-E, Rota, Spain. Throughout his career he has completed multiple deployments and supported numerous operations throughout the globe.

Ashore, Capt. Kendall attained a Master's of Arts degree in Business Administration (MBA) from The George Washington University. Capt. Kendall also served as Flag Aide to the Commander, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA). In the Interagency, Capt. Kendall served as a Defense Trade Analyst at the Department of State. In 2012, Capt. Kendall was selected as a Navy Federal Executive Fellow and attended the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Next, Capt. Kendall was assigned to the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations, serving as Executive Assistant to the Director for Strategy and Policy (N51).  Capt. Kendall also served as an Asia strategist in the Joint Staff Strategic Plans and Policy Directorate (J-5). Most recently, Capt. Kendall served at the Commander Navy Personnel Command as a PERS-412 Junior Officer Detailer.

Capt. Kendall has completed the Joint Professional Military Education levels I and II and is a Joint Qualified Officer.

Capt. Kendall's personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (3), Navy Commendation Medal (2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), and various meritorious unit and service awards.
